Siana is a multimedia artist whose work stems from the desire to investigate belief systems and their effects on identity, time, and ecology.

They started this research through a linguistic lens, considering how verbal and written (non)structures shape thinking and understanding - whether religious, political, social, cultural, or environmental.

The mysterious deep oceans and their creatures offer a way to explore non-human dynamics and speculate on alternate worlds to reshape how we perceive the world and each other.
They inspire ephemeral stories that contrast with the definitive nature of Western constructs and challenge its rigidity. Siana explores these depths through the fictional tales of the Vampyroteuthis Infernalis and other creatures to blur the boundaries between reality and fiction. These narratives invite audiences into fluid spaces of time and identity.

Horror, particularly body-horror films, is a great inspiration for them as well, allowing them to explore themes of body dysmorphia, transformation, and the otherness within ourselves. The effectiveness of the immediate relationship between visual and bodily reaction fascinates them.

They aim to move beyond linear narratives to embrace rhizomatic thought and making, opening a conversation on ecological thinking that transcends traditional, anthropocentric concepts of time and rationality.
